A Statement From John Gallo
"I have been in the antique business 37
years. My love for country furnishings has never waned. I specialize in
animal, children and floral items, but painted furnishings is also
something I like. People know me for Yellow ware since I wrote and
published my book. I still carry yellow ware and some stoneware or
red ware when I can find it.
My background in Education has varied. I studied to be Vet, went on to
teaching for 31 years and majored in Biology, History, General Science
and Environmental Studies.
I love animals and you can tell by my choice of antiques. Most of the
items I buy are good quality of the 19th and early 20th century, but I
always look for 18th century items as well. I have written extensive
articles on Yellow ware, Hooked Rugs, Old Games, and Folk Art.
Many of you know me from doing most of the major shows on the east
coast. I stopped doing shows about 5 years ago and concentrated on my
painting business (houses and barns) as well as the antiques and my
daughter MIkala, now 15 year old. For those who remember her, she a
beautiful girl and active in soccer.
My
hobbies are sports (very active in HS, college and after) biking,
golfing, hiking, doing folk art drawings of animals, doing research and
spending time with my Golden Doodle.. Bella
I want to thank you for visiting my site and
please
inquire if you are interested in buying anything you see."
